Joining Côr Meibion Caernarfon

Côr Meibion Caernarfon performs throughout Britain and beyond. We sing at great venues and have lots of fun. For our success to continue, we are always looking for new members of every age, and for younger singers in particular. You need to be a Welsh speaker or a good Welsh learner because our repertoire is mainly in Welsh and our rehearsals are conducted in Welsh. It's best, but not essential, that you are able to read music. Some of our members belong to more than one choir.

We meet at Y Galeri, Caernarfon between 7.30pm and 9.30pm every Tuesday throughout the year, except school holidays. Everyone is welcome to come to the rehearsals and there is often a good audience. Joining is an easy process. Having established whether you are a tenor or a base, you will be placed between two experienced choristers for about a month. If they are satisfied that you are making good progress you will be invited to join. The Musical Director has the final say.

For the first 12 months of your full membership there will be no fee, and all the music and the choir's uniform will be available for you to wear during performances.

VISIT Visitors and locals – come to Y Galeri, Caernarfon, for a pop up male voice concert! Côr Meibion Caernarfon – the town's award winning male voice choir - meets at Y Galeri, Caernarfon LL55 1SQ at 7.30pm every Tuesday evening, except school holidays. If not, for whatever reason, we will let you know on our website or via our Facebook page. You are welcome to come along to enjoy good singing. Visitors from all over the world attend our rehearsals, as well as many local people. We show the process of learning new songs and we sing familiar pieces. There are a number of Pay and Display in the vicinity of Y Galeri as well as a few free car parks during the evening.
