Joining Côr Meibion Caernarfon

As you can see from this website, Côr Meibion Caernarfon sings throughout Britain and beyond. We sing at great venues and have lots of fun.

For our success to continue, we are always looking for new members of every age, and for young singers in particular.

You need to be a Welsh speaker or a good Welsh learner because our repertoire is mainly in Welsh and our rehearsals are conducted in Welsh.

We meet in Galeri, Caernarfon every Tuesday throughout the year except August, between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.

It’s best, but not essential, that you are able to read music. Some of our members belong to more than one choir.

Joining is an easy process. Having established whether you are a tenor or a base, you will be placed between two experienced choristers for about a month. If they are satisfied that you are making good progress you will be invited to join. The Musical Director has the final say.

For the first 12 months of your full membership there will be no fee, and all the music and the choir's uniform will be available for you.

VISIT Visitors and locals – come to Studio 2, Galeri, Caernarfon, for a pop up male voice concert! Côr Meibion Caernarfon – the town’s award winning male voice choir - meets in Studio 2, Galeri, Caernarfon at 7.30pm every Tuesday evening, except August and bank holidays. If not, for whatever reason, we will let you know on our website. You are welcome to come along to enjoy good singing. Visitors from all over the world attend our rehearsals, as well as many local people. We show the process of learning new songs and we sing familiar pieces. And if you want to take the memory home, you can buy our latest CD.
